Do you want to share your research findings and research ideas in linguistics? How about learning about the diverse career opportunities you could have with a linguistics degree? The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese is pleased to announce the 5th Penn State Undergraduate Exhibition in Hispanic and General Linguistics (PSUxLing5). The purpose of PSUxLing is to bring together current and former undergraduate students interested in any area of linguists to share their research and to gain further knowledge in the field of linguistics. Students will have the opportunity to present their research at a two-hour poster session, to attend two keynote talks by leading researchers in our field, and to talk to undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty in the Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese (http://sip.la.psu.edu) and in the Center for Language Science at Penn State (http://cls.psu.edu).
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to September 10th, and notification of acceptance will be sent out no later than September 17th.
The PSUxLing5 keynote speakers are Dr. Kara Morgan Short (University of Illinois - Chicago), and Dr. Travis Bradley (University of California - Davis).
We invite current undergraduate students and former undergraduate students not currently enrolled in a graduate program to submit up to one single-authored and one jointly-authored abstract for consideration on any topic related to Hispanic or General Linguistics.
